Classes take place in the form of seminars, normally held in two to three-hour sessions, two to three times a week per course. You will also be actively encouraged to take part in academic activities outside the curriculum, such as participation in conferences and workshops, field trips and internships. The programme will be completed by writing a thesis.
objectives
In our seminars, you will be introduced to topics such as international crimes, modes of liability, general principles of international criminal law and impediments to enforcement. Particular emphasis will be placed on perfecting research skills and critically reflecting on the current structure of human rights mechanisms. Such discourse will occur through readings, analyses, discussions, writing papers, giving presentations and engaging in guest lectures.
