Wherever you live, if you look around you, food, flowers and timber play a significant role. You will be taught about this international industry by internationally oriented lecturers. These lecturers not only teach in class, but also coach you during projects and accompany you on company visits. During the inspiring hands-on classes, lecturers will introduce you to issues such as marketing, logistics, finance, sales, change management, entrepreneurship, international trade and sustainability in the agribusiness supply chain. All to provide you with the optimal mix of business knowledge, market insight, and research skills that will allow you to enter the job market immediately.

At VHL, we will gladly equip you with the necessary business and administrative knowledge and skills for you to become a successful agricultural entrepreneur. Practice is very important on your way to becoming a modern-day entrepreneurial hero. The module 'Business Education' will require you to set up your own business together with a team of students from different backgrounds. Together you will develop and market a product. Will you manage to keep your head above water and make a profit? You will also take courses in developing business strategies and writing business plans. With all this knowledge, you will be perfectly equipped to get off to a flying start in the world of agribusiness.

If you specialise in Entrepreneurship, you will become a well-rounded and versatile agricultural entrepreneur who is able to keep up with the latest developments and trends in the agricultural sector.
Agricultural produce is needed all the time, all over the world. That is why agribusiness will always continue to exist, and it will always be big business. New developments appear quickly and the rules of the game in the agricultural sector are constantly changing. At VHL, we know how important it is to keep up with the latest events. That is why the specialisation in Agricultural Entrepreneurship will always stay extremely interesting. You will learn how to recognise, adapt to and make the best use of the swiftly changing trends on the international agricultural market. You will be flexible and strategic enough to be one step ahead of the developments. A major advantage that you will have when you enter the job market will be your practical experience. During your studies, you will gather work experience through your internships and have the opportunity to get advice from your own coach from the agricultural sector. This way, you will be able to start building a network within the industry from the early stages of your studies.
