Why do European guidelines work in one country but not another? What systems and approaches will improve health both domestically and Europe wide? What health systems are used in different regions and countries? What methodologies are needed for best-practice exchange and cross-border cooperation? You emerge with the analytical tools, innovative research methods, and change-management instruments required for policy-making and development at all levels: organisational, regional, EUregional, national and European. This is a one-year full-time programme taught in English.

Can we help you? Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, you may have additional questions about starting or completing your application. Perhaps you would like to talk to someone about the programme you're applying for, or you're looking for some pointers to start preparing your studies at Maastricht University.

Problem-Based Learning (PBL)

At Maastricht University you work in groups of a maximum of 12 students on practical projects that deal with a health-related theme in a multidisciplinary manner. You get factual knowledge, but you also learn how to collaborate, present or how to set up a research project. Practical and subject-oriented skills training are amply discussed. Together you look for solutions and formulate answers. Independently, but always under the supervision of a tutor.
