Multi-disciplinary co-operation, an introduction to new intelligent sensor technology, product design, and research are central to this programme. During the course, knowledge and abilities will be offered to the project groups on the basis of needs and individual interest.

Cooperation between students and lecturers from different schools of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and professor Hans Appel plays a central role. Hans Appel is a former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Sun Microsystems, giving him the experience of exploring areas of research where the need of companies and organisation is greatest.

In a large project you will work with students from different schools (multi-disciplinary) to form a project team. You will eventually realise the value of working with people with different specialities, while designing and creating a new and useful service or product. Depending upon your background, you will select some of the minor workshops, or make a proposal to follow other relevant lectures and practicals available at that time.
