Do you like to get to the heart of the matter? Our thought-provoking two-year Research Master at Tinbergen Institute offers you the chance to learn the ins and outs of conducting high-level academic research. You will learn from the best researchers from Erasmus University Rotterdam, University of Amsterdam and VU Amsterdam.

In this small-scale set up, research-loving students from all over the world work alongside each other. You will learn all aspects of academic research, ranging from collecting data to statistical analyses and presenting results. There are three challenging tracks: Economics, Econometrics and Finance. Together, they offer more than forty specialised courses. The first year offers rigorous training in the core of economics, econometrics and finance. In the second year, you specialise in one of the institute's many fields of research through field course work and thesis research.

After graduation:
