Jointly with the Capital Normal University ITC has developed an MSc programme exposing course participants to developments in geo-information science and earth observation for assessment, monitoring and prediction purposes in the fields of Applied Earth Sciences, Geoinformatics, Urban Planning, Land Administration, Natural and Water Resources. In this MSc degree programme one can apply for the double degree programme as part of the 3-year MSc at CNU. The 18 months joint part of the CNU degree with ITC leads to a Dutch MSc Degree in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation. Participation in the ITC component may be in the first or second year of the CNU’s 3 year programme. The course is designed for those with a BSc in Geography, Geographic Information Science and those enrolling for an MSc in Physical Geography, Human Geography, Maps and Geographic Information System, Environmental Science, Cartography, Geographic Information System, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology and Water Resources. Most of the alumni work for ministries of water, irrigation departments, meteorological departments, water authorities, universities or international organizations such as IWMI and UNEP.
