Over a two-year period, students complete advanced courses on research methods and statistics. Furthermore, students will be trained in scientific writing and presentation skills, and programming skills. During the remaining time, students will take courses in two fields of their choice and acquire excellent research experience in two separate research projects (Research Internship and Research Thesis).

Research Master alumni are very well qualified for a career in scientific research, for example starting in a PhD programme. Graduates are also well qualified for a career in scientific or applied research or as a scientist-practitioner in organizations outside academia, such as companies, (semi-)governmental organizations, or in organizations for psychological or physical health.
