• Integrate knowledge relevant to the technological, physiological, ecological, economic and sociological challenges of sustainable aquatic organisms and marine resource use;
• Analyse systems dynamics and ethical considerations related to the utilisation of marine resources, and the conservation and restoration of marine ecosystems;
• Design strategies for the utilisation, conservation and restoration of marine resources and aquatic production systems including multiple stakeholder and disciplinary perspectives;

• Design and execute academic research that contributes knowledge to the sustainable use, conservation and restoration of marine resources and ecosystems;
