During the Summer School – 6 -15 July 2020– you will be offered a sophisticated educational programme with many interesting lectures, workshops and challenging assignments, as well as an exciting social programme.

Ageing poses an increasing burden on European societies. Currently, treatment of age-related diseases is highly demanding in time and money. The ongoing demographic ageing of the population will require substantial reorganization of the health care budgets and infrastructure of hospitals and nursing homes. Particularly, neurodegenerative diseases resulting in dementia and motor disability urgently require our attention.

This 2-weeks-programme will consist of many activities that will be organised by the Social Committee of Ageing Brain. There will be a variety of workshops like: salsa dancing, an international cooking event and a biking tour. The organised pub crawl and different dinner locations will make sure you get to know the city of Groningen. And multiple activities will be joint with other summer schools so you get to know loads of new people. And to top that all off there will be a trip to the Isle of Schiermonnikoog.
