How can you diagnose diseases, such as cancer, at an early stage? Are there more sustainable ways to store energy? And how can you make a sensor that checks water pollution levels on a large scale? These important, societal questions all have one thing in common: nanotechnology might be the answer!
In this Master’s, you will learn to invent, design and develop innovative solutions on the extremely small nanoscale. You will combine disciplines such as physics, chemistry, electrical and biomedical engineering. The applications of nanotechnology are nearly endless, with three main application areas: Health, ICT, and sustainability. As a student, you will get access to the state-of-the-art NanoLab of the world-renowned MESA+ Institute, including one of the largest cleanrooms in Europe. Once graduated, you can continue with a PhD, or, fullfil a job at a high-tech company, creating new materials, technologies, or products in various sectors. Starting your own company is also an option!
