With a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine, you will be licensed to practice across the full spectrum of veterinary medicine. Utrecht University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is the only faculty in the Netherlands to train new veterinarians. The Master's programme focuses on preventive healthcare for farm animals (ruminants, pigs and poultry). You will learn to help livestock farmers set up their businesses in a way that keeps animals healthy and effectively prevents health problems regarding both individual animals as well as herds. 
You will regularly interact with professional practice and the professional field over the course of the programme. You will analyse and advise multiple businesses and receive training at the livestock clinic and the animal hospital for companion animals and horses. You will also work at the University Farm Animal Practice and at an external veterinary practice. 
The Master's programme is accredited by both European organisations and the overarching bodies in the United States and Canada. This means graduates can work as veterinarians anywhere in the world.
